Jeiran is an Assistant Professor in the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute, Keck School of Medicine of USC. She leads the INI Microstructural Imaging Group (IMG).
Jeiran's research focus is on employing machine learning and optimization strategies to improve structural and functional mapping of the brain to study neurodegenerative disorders. In particular, her main research focus is on mapping vascular and perivascular features of the brain across lifespan in health and in the presence of cognitive decline and dementia. Her goal is to understand the role of perivascular space in brain health and the degree to which it alters in cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease; and to identify MRI signatures of perivascular space using advanced neuroimaging techniques.
Amjad is currently a Medical Doctoral candidate at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He graduated from UCLA in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology. His research focus is mapping and quantification of perivascular spaces in patients with Parkinson's Disease.
Adithya is researching multi-modal Alzheimer's Disease detection in MRI Images. He graduated from VIT, India in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He is currently a master’s student in computer science at USC, his research interests are Information theory and Statistical learning. Outside of the lab Adithya loves cooking, playing violin and hitting the gym.
Chijioke is currently a medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He graduated from UC Irvine in 2018 with a B.S degree in pharmaceutical sciences. His research focus is mapping and quantification of perivascular spaces in patients with Alzheimer's Disease.
Farshid is an Assistant Professor in the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute (INI), Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is also an Executive Committee member of Center for Image Acquisition (CIA) and a Faculty Member of Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics (NIIN). He leads the INI Microstructural imaging Group (IMG).
Farshid's research focus is on developing new neuroimaging technologies to study Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. More specifically, his work is centered around combining advanced neuroimaging and data science, with the aim of obtaining microstructural markers of brain tissue from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for early diagnosis and prognosis of the Alzheimer's disease.
Haoyu is researching on image synthetization using generalized adversarial network. He graduated from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (China) in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently a graduate student in Electrical Engineering (Data Science) at USC. Haoyu is always interested in art, movie and music during the leisure time and he is also an amateur Chinese flute player.
Jovicarole is a graduating Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics program at USC. Jovi got her bachelors from La Sierra University in Biophysics. She is currently working on a longitudinal study where she analyzes the morphometric changes of the brain of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Outside of the lab Jovi loves spending time with her dogs, rock climbing, and cooking.
Judy is researching on the pathological signature of AD on quantitative MRI. She graduated from Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan with a bachelor's degree in biology and received a master’s degree in clinical medicine from National Yang-Ming University. She is currently a master student in Neuroimaging and Informatics (NIIN) program at USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute. In her free time, Judy loves photography, travel, and baking. “Kitchen is my second lab”.
Jack is a Computational Neuroscience major minoring in Computer Science and my research focus is automatically segmenting White Matter Hyper-Intensities in MRI images using Machine Learning.
Malcolm is currently researching region-related white matter tract alterations in Alzheimer's Disease. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in neurobiology and He is now a second-year medical student at UC Irvine.
Rachel will be graduating from USC's Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics program this year. She received her bachelor's degree from Arcadia University in 2019 with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. In the lab, Rachel will be working on projects studying morphometry of the brain across the lifespan. When she's not thinking about the mysteries of the human mind, Rachel enjoys taking hikes, spending time by the ocean, and dancing.
Sierra is an undergraduate student studying Neuroscience. My research focus is on structural and microstructural mapping of white matter aging.
Sabrina is a senior high school student in Milken high school. She is a volunteer research assistant in IMG. Her research focuses on basal ganglia atrophy in Alzheimer's disease.
Sankareswari is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Computer Science at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Sankari received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, India. She has prior industry experience of three years working with Microsoft. Singing, reading novels, learning musical instruments are some of her leisure time activities.
Andrea is currently a Senior with a major in Neuroscience, and a double minor in Computer and Digital Forensics, and Forensics and Criminality. My research at LONI has been focused on imaging medial temporal lobe (MTL) subfields, including hippocampus, and trying to determine their roles in the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Shaina Sta. Cruz is a PhD student in the Public Health graduate program at the University of California, Merced.
